((Assuming I just start IC...))

Roy banked off from his squadron at just the right moment to avoid getting caught up in the same missile storm in which they were claimed. He rolled with the bank, soaring into a nearby asteroid feild. His fighter was simple: top of the line Blackjack combat air/spacecraft, shaped like the F-15s of old Earth.

Roy looked out of his cockpit and growled. Two enemy fighters were following him, banking away from the main fight with the fleet ships and heavy runners. These two, from the way they moved, were aces. Roy banked around, activating the point attitude thrusters on the nose and wings of his ship to spin so fast the force pushed him against the side of the cockpit. Still, his training kicked in and he righted himself just in time to see the first shoot past him at impossible speed. The other, however, was about a mile behind, perfect room and distance for both guns and short range missiles. Now would be a great time to open fire.

So he did. The other fighter was torn in half from the 35mm gatling cannon on his ship's nose, the pure plasma of the rounds searing it all the way through.

Roy spun around midair the same way he had to attack the duo to track the first fighter. It was just banking around to assault his flank, but stopped just close enough to an asteroid to find cover if need be. Roy stopped his own fighter, knowing what was about to happen. He checked his loadout, "I got a plasma gat, six hunter missiles, and one Jaeden flair."

Roy smiled, "Looks to me like only one of us is getting out of this belt alive. Bring it on."

The spacecraft shifted, drifting left as the respective wing dipped down. With a gradual pull the KXP-V, or “Dagger” class combat air/spacecraft arced carefully back around, slowing as it went.

Comparatively, the Dagger was a far smaller ship than that of the Blackjack, and harbored only a small array of weaponry. However, what it lacked in firepower it readily made up in maneuverability.

Unlike Roy’s Blackjack, the Dagger was of a more alien design, resembling something closer to that of a somewhat elongated triangle with the addition of a set of extended winds; both of which curved down at a steady rate.

The sleek violet and silver of the Dagger’s hull glistened as the distant sun’s light played across its surface. For the briefest second, Roy caught a glimpse of the women who sat inside.

A thicket of fiery red hair, most of which hung over the left of her face, was the first thing that drew the other pilots attention, followed swiftly by the smug grin painted across her full lips.

Those lips moved, as if the women inside could tell that Roy was looking at them.

“Your move, buddy,” Rose’s lips pursed into a noticeably smug grin as she prepared herself for what was to come.

From what she had seen, this other pilot was possibly on par with herself. But she really wouldn’t know until they actually got to dancing.

With only a swift glance, Rose was able to determine just what ammunitions she had left. The volley of missiles which had destroyed the majority of Roy’s squad had come from her, meaning she had only a small number of them left. However, if used right, the micro-missiles packed along the tips of the Dagger’s wings could be put to devastating use.

That left her with the single Phase Cannon, which Rose didn’t feel had a strong enough use at this point. Beyond that, she’d be relying on the twin plasma pistols and the sole EMP Lance.

Of course, this didn’t count the various number of defensive gadgets fixed to the Dagger’s petit body. Plasma Flares happened to be high on that list, followed shortly by the small number of Shaft Mines.

With all of this laid out, Rose felt fairly confident in her chances of rejoining the rest of her crew.

Roy smiled wide, "My move huh...big mistake, babe."

Using the boosters placed all over his ship, Roy spun it and activated those on top, right behind the cockpit and others in front of the tails. He shot to the right of his original orientation, still spinning, and unleashed a burst from his cannon. The weapon was accurate, considering it was litterally seven barrels of straight up, hyper energized heated death. From here, though, he'd barely be able to scratch her with the rounds. They still had the range to do damage, but the probability was next to nothing.

The spinning slowed, and just before flying behind an asteroid, Roy let loose one of his missiles. It was the space equivalent of a Sidewinder, using small rockets to spin it as it went. The speed of the missile, though, was twice that of his Blackjack, and Blackjacks were known for their speed if nothing else.

As an added bonus, Roy flew from the other side of the asteroid and let go of another, arcing it around a few more floating rocks before starting up the main thrusters again. Along with speed, Blackjacks had so many attitude units, and because they were wired directly into the main engine so much juice, that they were called a pilot's ultimate sleight of hand, hense the name.

Spinning around to face the direction the other missile was headed, Roy shot along the vapor trail headed straight for the other ship, shooting off another burst to keep the other pilot on her toes. He hailed her once again, just to keep it going, "Well hi, my name's Roy, call sign Hellraider. AKA, Death."

A subtle twitch and Rose’s spacecraft shot down below Roy’s initial volley. Another and she was driven into a rapid spin opposite of Roy’s own. Doing this required a nimble touch, as the Dagger was a craft of subtle twists, which was why many referred to thought who piloted such beautiful aircrafts as Rogues.

Rose carried her roll onward as Roy’s missile spun harmlessly past, sweeping dangerously close to the arc of Rose’s left wing. It wasn’t until Roy’s second missile came into play that Rose applied a somewhat unorthodox maneuver.

Not necessarily dropping the sideways spinning motion of her spacecraft, Rose gave a sudden burst of power to the thrusters just under the nose of her fighter, while simultaneously initializing an equally powerful burst from the thrusters lined across the tail of the Dagger.

The spacecraft went nose up, spinning like a top as it continued to move sideways. Without any real warning Rose abruptly halted the spin and drove the ship down, using the various thrusts along the belly and nose of the Dagger to drive her out of the way of the incoming missiles.

Roy’s second volley of projectiles collided with the rocky surface of an asteroid as Rose literally flipped her ship below one, using the space-rock for cover.

Smirking, she waited for the burst to cease before darting not forward, but backwards, lodging one of her Shaft Mines into the belly of the asteroid she was had been hiding below. Without hesitating, Rose drove two small bursts of her own into the asteroid, doing so at such an angle to cause the already spinning rock to rotate at a quicker rate.

Once the Shaft Mine caught the residual heat signature of Roy’s approaching ship it’d explode, though the power was hardly enough to cause any real damage, unless Roy happened to get closer to it than Rose could have expected. Regardless, the explosion would serve as a distraction, Rose strafing right suddenly and releasing a brief sidelong spray of plasma.

“Eli S D’Eon. Call sign Lady. AKA, Lady of the Violet Rose,” Rose smirked as she spoke and fired, “you may just call me Rose.”

"Don't take me for blind, lady," Roy mumbled as he shot on. He rolled and activated the boosters on top, flying left of his original position. Her tactic was a good one, the same one that took Roy's grandfather in the last war. As a result, Roy kept an eye out for stuff like this. It's what kept him alive that long.

So he ducked behind a big rock and boosted his thrusters until he was skimming along the surface like a regular jet on a cliff. Now that he had a moment to think, he started planning, mumbling to himself, "If I just shoot out and start gunning, she'll plug me, even if I am faster and have a bigger gun. Hm...got nothing besides my gun and four more smarties...what would grandpa do...oh, that's just wrong. Got nothin else, bring it on!"

Roy shot from behind cover and started shooting, three of the seven barrels going at once for a rapid fire shotgun effect. The whole thing put together made almost a solid wall of plasma round, though only about fifty feet wide with a few stray clusters. Roy's face caught the light from the nearby gas giant, an indigo glow that lit his sharp, young features with an evil aura. He was tanned, even in the weird light, with a Brazilian skin tone and hair color. From what could be seen by the other pilot, he couldn't be twenty yet. Still, his face was seen throughout the worlds, wanted by his enemy with a price rivaling that of a king on his head.

Roy slapped on his usual slasher smile before throwing on the throttle again. Though this rush was...different. He kept firing, making a missile attack directly on him impossible through the rounds. That wasn't so unnusual. What was, though, was that he kept his thrusters up full throttle, as if to ram the other ship.

The planet's indigo light swept across his features yet again, showing a feral shine in his eyes. He started laughing over the com, something that sounded like a maniac mixed with a hiyena with a little howler monkey dashed in.

If one looked close, they would understand why. The only thing that would have given it away to Rose would be that his missile bays were only just now retracting...empty.

Boy has some balls, I’ll give him that.

Rose didn’t miss a beat. At least it didn’t seem so as she continued her strafing motion to the right, which carried her safely out of harm’s way from Roy’s first barrage of shots.

While Roy’s ship might have had bigger guns, Rose was a far smaller target than he was. Not only this, but like Roy’s Blackjack, the Dagger was built for unreasonable amounts of speed.

She continued to move right, putting a subtle sidelong incline as she went, steadily raising the left wing of her spacecraft as Roy followed her path with his attack.

If anything, Rose was beginning to get an idea for how Roy fought, as he seemed on par with each movement she made; Rose only being capable of keeping but a few inches ahead of his spray of plasma as she continued the downward tilt of her right wing.

Finally Rose broke into a clearing among the asteroids, which offered no cover from Roy’s climax, his laughter crackling sharply over the communication system.

Rose’s rotation came to a sudden end as she brought her ship belly up, exposing the glossy black surface to the indigo glow of the nearby planet.

Not missing a beat, Rose shot herself forward, streaking through space at an incredible speed as she moved to intercept Roy.

Rose didn’t need her eyes to realize what Roy had deployed; her technological instruments did that just fine for her; and in turn, delivered the appropriate countermeasure to Roy’s cackling-inspired attack.

Deployed from a number of points along the bottom of the Dagger, along with the underside of each wing, Rose released a small burst of Plasma Flares, each one igniting dangerously close to the outer hull of her ship as they were set off.

Designed not only to blind the sensor devices of most aircraft, the Plasma Flares acted as a means of misdirecting most missiles, giving the onboard computers of such weapons a false readout of reaching their target, thus causing them to explode prematurely.

However, given the lack of distance between Rose’s ships and the number of exploding missiles, she had to make for a few rapid corrections or be thrown entirely off course.

Having effectively used the Plasma Flares, along with Roy’s exploding missiles for cover, Rose was now dangerously close to the enemy pilot. At first glance, it would appear that the two would very well collide, given the speed at which both were moving. However, this was not the case, as Rose’s ship was just below the necessary mark to fly smoothly under Roy.

Rose gave no time for Roy to deviate from his forward path, as she slid below him with ease, twitching the control stick to the right as she spun her spacecraft seamlessly about.

Doing this caused Rose’s Dagger to lag only slightly behind Roy’s Blackjack, though with the Dagger being a much smaller vessel it was hard to tell.

Surprisingly enough, Rose kept her ship below Roy’s, each of their underbellies nearly touching. To anyone else, Rose’s aircraft would look like little more than a glistening shadow of Roy’s fighter.

“Mind if I take a moment to ask you a question?” spoke Rose softly through the com, keeping a sharp eye on her instruments as she swiftly and smoothly matched whatever variations in their flight path that Roy attempted to make during this point in time.

Not waiting for an answer, Rose continued to speak.

“Why are you fighting?”

Rose had been fighting in the war since the day it started, feeling that her skills as a pilot were better placed serving in the military. However, since then, nearly nine years ago, Rose’s feelings on the whole Flux War had shifted, and she had begun to question not only her own reasons for fighting, but that of her opponents.

Of course, all of Vyra going to war had been the choice of the people, not its government, as they sought peace with the neighboring planets, and when that peace was threatened, it was Rose’s own House that had been the first to step up to the fight…

((I applaud your ability to improv, but sadly this must end. Good fighting with you, though))

Roy hadn't stopped firing, but did when she asked why. He answered quite simply, "My grandpa was a pilot, fought in the last war. He bit it outside of Saturn. My dad lost his arms on Luna, part of the Moon Wars that went through the system for years. I joined up to keep the family line going in the military. That...and, well, I don't know what else to do. Fighting is all I am, all I've ever been. What more reason do I need, anyway?"

He paused for a second, then continued, "What exactly did you want from that, anyway? You know what? Ignore that. Answer this: how well do you...DIE!"

The plasma core that fed his cannon finally overheated and needed to be vented or ejected. He ejected it and kicked in the overdrive burst system, sending him far away very fast. The core was barely out of his ship when it went nuclear, and he barely outran the blast. The EMP took out everything but his emergancy attitude systems and com unit.

If there was anything else, the two missiles he'd left magnetically attatched to the asteroid he'd hidden behind would activate in a moment, much too soon for any EMP recovery system to activate, and take out whatever had a heat signature besides the home ship.

Roy stabalized and smiled, "That's payback for Tai, Nick, Ricky, and Joe. Rest In Peace you crazy flower. Calling nearest Lunar Corp. unit, this is Wing Commander Roy O'brien. I just dropped my plasma core and need immediate assistance. Armaments, zero, deffenses, zero, power, coming back online soon. Again, this is Wing Commander Roy O'brien of the Lunar Corp..."

((If you see a logical way out of this, I will change it. Sorry, but I just don't. Peace))

((My post is enough of a response. ^^))

Something Rose had learned over her years as a military pilot was to keep her emotions in check. Not only this, but to keep her mouth shut and just shoot, as even the most basic forms of life understood that loud noises or violent trimmers meant bad things were about to happen.

Which was why, had Roy decided to keep his mouth shut and just act, his little ploy may have been the end of the Lady of the Violet Rose. However, as he had not, Rose was already moving by the time Roy had initiated the release of his Plasma Core, but not in the way that may have been expected.

Every available thruster lining the underside of her spacecraft ignited, driving her downward as she simultaneously rotated herself into a swift spin, bringing the tail of her ship around to face where Roy was now ejecting his Plasma Core.

Roy’s ship, while boasting being the fastest between the two, was larger and weighed perhaps a considerable amount more than Rose’s. So as Roy’s overdrive was initiated, Rose poured everything she had available into following suit, slipping into overdrive herself seamlessly.

Being that Rose had moved first, she had enough of a head start on Roy that unlike him, she was capable of keeping just beyond reach of the blast radius of the exploding Core; however, the EMP nova that followed was another thing entirely.

Unfortunately for Roy, Rose’s vessel was designed to respond to EMP discharges at a far quicker rate, as the Dagger utilized Electromagnetic Pulses as one of its most basic weapons.

Of course, that hardly accounted for the two missiles Roy had left behind, a good tactic, but one poorly thought out.

With the explosion of Roy’s Plasma Core, and the distance required of both Rose and Roy to safely avoid the blast, the missiles were most likely confused by the wave of heat created by the exploding Core; or if anything, unable to locate a stable enough heat signature given the distance.

Though, if this wasn’t enough, Rose’s ship was, as stated, far faster at recovering from that of an EMP burst than most others, and for that reason, she would easily be able to discharge another volley of Plasma Flares in order to shield herself from harm.

With everything played out as it was, and Roy’s ship in its current condition, he would have possible no idea just how unprepared he was to deal with this particular enemy.

Within the span of maybe a minute Rose was moving back towards him, doing so at a steady speed.

Once she came within com range, she opened a channel.

“Not bad, for a Rookie.”

((Oh, bite me. You just unleashed a monster. Two things: one, I understand that your ship is faster and whatnot, but the missiles would have already been moving on your last known location and trajectory, but since I didn't post that, I'll ignore that. Two: Whoever said I launched all my missiles? Surely, it wasn't me, that was you. And that is where I have you.))

Roy lost it, "WHERE THE HELL DO YOU GET OFF CALLING ME A ROOKIE, AND WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! SCREW YOU, SCREW YOUR FAMILY, SCREW YOUR UNIT, AND SCREW YOUR BUDDY THAT I CAPPED OFF BEFORE DEALING WITH YOUR COWARD ASS!!"

His computer piped up, "Systems restored, emergancy core active. Approximately one shotgun burst remaining, exactly seventy rounds remaining. Overdrive has two second's charge left. Com unit replies state that one resuply ship is imbound. Tactical update," Captain Shroud came on the horn, "We've gained enough room to give you some assistance, Roy, but a supply unit is all you get. Good luck you crazy little bastard."

Roy readied his system so that the shotgun burst would be all seven barrels at once. Com range, considering it was his emergancy com, and anything but a ship designed to pick up ultra weak signals would have to be very, very close to talk, Roy was back in the fight.

He could see in the cockpit now, that flash of orange, the other pilot. Now calmed by his new advantage, Roy smiled again, "Two words: suck it."

Roy turned up the overdrive again and shot right by the other ship, killing it with one solid second still up. What couldn't be noticed, however, was the emergancy tracking beacon he just released that dug into the other ship's hull on impact, using highly corrosive materials to burrow deeper until it was solidly set. With one last burst from his battered com unit, he sent the order to his remaining missiles to track emergancy beacons instead of heat signatures. There was, of course, a glitch in that. In the first few tests of this missile, the ordanance hit the E beacons nine times out of ten, even through mild interference.

Now with nothing left to lose or do, Roy let his Blackjack settle on the asteroid in a paculiar spot, as three missiles came from behind three seemingly random asteroids in a tri formation, quite close to the other ship. He couldn't help but growl, now infuriated, "Try this, Rookie."

((Just so you know, I have plenty more tricks up my sleeve. I have no intention of losing my first fight here, not with the rep I worked to make. >Smile))

((I don't recall saying you use all of your missiles. Unless of course I was speaking about it in the context of the ones presently being used. However, if not then I appologize for doing so.)) T

his kid talks too much…

Rose was already reacting by the time Roy had finished telling her to ‘suck it’.

She shot forward a split second faster than Roy, using the fact that he decided to talk rather than act to her advantage for a second time as she moved to lift her aircraft above his.

Immediately, when the nose of Roy’s aircraft passed below her own, Rose released a shot from her EMP Lance, driving the shell directly into Roy’s hull just behind the cockpit as he moved below her at an incredible speed. The chances of the shot missing were slim, being that Roy himself would need to move in such a way to bury his tracking device into Rose’s hull, which inevitably placed him in danger of Rose’s shot, an attack she had delivered the moment their ships at began to cross one another.

Given the overall speed at which Roy was moving, it wouldn’t be until the Blackjack and Dagger had fully crossed above and below one another that Rose’s EMP Lance would activate.

The Electromagnetic Pulse was designed to cripple ships three times the size of Roy’s Blackjack. On top of that, the EMP burst occurred just as Roy began to give his order, seemingly cutting his transmission short as the pulse did its work on his ship.

Despite this, Roy’s missiles came, but only two of the three seemed to be on point. However, unlike Roy, Rose wasn’t without power, and hadn’t stopped moving as she spun her ship at a far sharper angle than most other ships would allow, coming around to face Roy.

The time it took for Roy’s missiles to come around was time enough for Rose to react. After all, random or not, they were still heading to the same place.

Rose used this to her advantage, along with her superior speed.

Having turned about to face Roy, who by no means would be in working order after being consumed by a second EMP blast, she slammed on her thrusters and glided seamlessly through the air towards him.

Doing this had its dangers, as one of the missiles had sprang up along the left of her spacecraft. However, giving her ship’s thrusters a little more juice provided her with just enough speed to streak by it, but not enough to prevent it from changing course and following.

Still she drove forward, lining the nose of the Dagger perfectly up with that of the Blackjack.

Her focus split for a second as her thumb shifted over the trigger, knowing full well that a burst from her Plasma Pistols would send Roy into oblivion. But doing so would take much needed power away from the thrusters, and if she was going to pull off her little stunt, she’d need all the power she could get up until the very last second.

Finally, Rose dipped, nearly scrapping the top of her cockpit against the belly of Roy’s vessel as she glided below him.

Not hesitating in the slightest, Rose let loose an unnecessary number of Plasma Flares below Roy’s vessel, which would catch the two missiles that had been following her closely behind, the third having collided with an asteroid some ways back.

Being caught by the Plasma Flares, each missile would ignite and explode right below Roy’s disabled aircraft, not to mention the flares themselves would do some damage of their own, weakening the underside of Roy’s hull and making it far more susceptible to the explosive forces of his own rockets.

Rose continued moving forward, not bothering to turn about unless her sensors demanded that she do so.

((Generally I would probably reply with some witty remark like "Well you shouldn't have fought me." but I think I'll stick to the fact that I'm here to enjoy myself, win or lose.))

((There's no way in hell you can get out of this. I call BS if you con your way out of this one, it's too perfect >Smile ))

Roy gave a small grin. He was beaten, no doubt about it...ha, funny. Roy laughed at the possibility that he was about to die. No, that was wrong. He wasn't about to die.

Roy activated all emergancy systems, including the mechanical ones. Three things happened.

First, the magnetic docking clamps reached out and grabbed Rose's ship, since it was so close. Also, because the system was completely mechanical, no other system would pick it up. She wouldn't know what hit her.

Second, his Jaeden flairs activated, blinding the pilot from this distance and half way melting through her cockpit. The docking clamps made it impossible for her to dodge. Her fate and that of Roy's Blackjack were now entwined.

Thirdly, Roy's ejection system went off, and he flew away from the combination.

Now safely away from the death throes of his ship, Roy pushed the last control he could for the day. Now, because he was safely away from the EMP lance, it worked. Beneath him, under the ships, that one spot on the asteroid exploded outward, and a single missile shot from it. At this distance, combined with the blinding effect of his Jaedens and how slow the Blackjack made her, Rose would be hit by both the first salvo of surprise missiles AND the last ditch effort he'd placed in the asteroid before jumping out on his run.

Roy muttered to himself, "Takes a damn ship to kill one freakin person...heh, hope that's how I go out..."

One second later, his Blackjack exploded in a blue firestorm, a failsafe so others wouldn't get ahold of the tech should a pilot have to eject. That alone would be enough to kill the other.

Roy kept his eyes open, pulling a helmet from behind his head in case he had to go EVA should he hit a rock or something. But there, on the edge of his vision, was the supply ship with one Intercepter class Blackjack escort. It was the best thing Roy'd seen all day.

((...))

Roy’s ploy would have worked had he been capable of seeing the deployment of Plasma Flares earlier described. The flares alone were enough to cause the magnetic clamps to fail, as the intense heat from the Plasma Flares was more than enough to cause just enough of a malfunction within the landing struts to prevent Roy from fully playing out his plan.

Of course, on top of this was the simple fact that Roy, having been affected only a few moments ago by Rose’s EMP Lance, would be quite literally dead in space, drifting if not all together halted in place. However, it was a great deal more likely that he was drifting at least a little, given that inertia still took effect, even out here in space.

For this reason, Roy’s magnetic clamps, though disrupted in their release, would have served only to momentarily stall Rose’s excessive speed, and undoubtedly force her to make an unnecessary correction to her flight path.

The Electromagnetic Pulse released by Rose’s EMP Lance was designed to kill a single target by releasing a strong enough pulse through whatever spacecraft happened to be inflicted with the Lance. For this reason, Rose’s ship, even passing under it as she was, was completely unaffected by even the residual EMP waves.

In the end, Rose scrape past with a nasty charring along the tail of her vessel, along with a number of scorch marks across the hull of her ship.

Roy’s own flares had been ignited. But with his timing it made it clear that he had expected her to be caught by the magnetic landing struts of his aircraft, having obviously not taken into account the speed of Rose’s vessel, let alone the use of her Plasma Flares.

So, the previous affect took place, as the missiles that had been following Rose’s spacecraft exploded below the belly of Roy’s now abandoned ship.

With that all behind her, Rose was able to continue on her way, even as her sensors managed to pick up on the last missile Roy had apparently tucked away as a farewell gift for his departing.

Effortlessly Rose ducked below an asteroid, darting left around another and then right, latching a series of Shaft Mines as she slipped between a narrow slit of open space resting between two asteroids. And like it was designed to do, Roy’s missile followed, the Shaft Mines exploding the instant its nose inched past them, catching it and causing it to go off, leaving Rose in the clear.

((I’ll go ahead and give you the option of calling in a Judge if you want. But to be completely honest I don’t see it as necessary. I know you really wanted a win, but its probably best that you learn sooner than later that you are going to lose from time to time. You did really well, and this was an amazing experience for me. I can’t thank you enough. Of course, if by some means you have somehow thought of a way to continue this than I guess we will. ^^))

Roy watched all this happen with bloody rage in his eyes, "Now that's just being rude," he growled.

While she made her escape, the intercepter and supply ship made their approach. Roy was taken into the supply ship quickly, with the intercepter circling in case of enemy attack. As they cut him out, he sat there thinking, "Fast and agile, running low on mines, probably no flairs left...Corporal, how heavily armed is that intercepter?"

The surprised soldier with the torch stuttered, "Um, full Scout missile loadout with dual cannons and EMP shielding, sir."

"Well, shit," Roy drew his pistol and shot his way out of the cockpit, "Call'er in, I'm not done yet, damnit."

((We don't need a judge, because I'm not done Very Happy Main reason I called in an intercepter, btw. Hads mes a backup plan XO will edit later, gotta go to school now...))

((Okay, this is just getting silly now. You've lost your original ship so now you're calling in a new one? I guess, seeing as how I'm so far away I could just go grab myself another ship. But that'd just be pointless. I'd appreciate it if you just take the loss, your reputation wont really be that harmed, trust me. I'm going to go ahead and call in a Judge, if the Judge says there is no obvious problem with your action than I guess we can continue. BUt really...I think grabbing a new ship like this may fall under god modding. Considering a Dogfight generally ended when one ship destroyed the other.))

Him calling in another ship is not only improbable, it's impossible.

If either of you would have bothered to reference his introduction post, he's the only ship of his unit left.

Quote:
Roy banked off from his squadron at just the right moment to avoid getting caught up in the same missile storm in which they were claimed.

There's no ship close enough to come to your aid, 'Roy'. Any that you call in from another Star System wouldn't have the time to make it to your location before Raivyn's win would come into play.

A disable ship means a lost match, sorry.

Okay, I typed this AFTER I typed everything else. I'd like to apologize in advance for the waste of time this will be, but still ask that you at least read the last lines. Peace

What about that 'dodge' of my whole maneuver? At that last part, she said,
Quote:
Finally, Rose dipped, nearly scrapping the top of her cockpit against the belly of Roy’s vessel as she glided below him.

A completely mechanical, even if emergancy, docking system with separated magnetic clamps would have got you. If you were moving faster than that, the flairs would be spread everywhere you went in a line, meaning I wouldn't have been the only target to get hit. Lastly, I placed myself litterally within a stone's throw from the asteroid my last missile came from, making dodging it impossible even with extra speed and agility that came with your 'Dagger' design.

Final thing, calling in another ship isn't so far out of the picture in a full on warzone, especially for a wing commander as I made him out to be.

...*sigh* I keep forgetting that logic is deffined by both players...meh, screw it.

Rematch? This time without suicide attacks?

((Alright, so, being that we’ve broken down to pointing out faults, I should go ahead and begin with your last attack, being the finale missile launched from the asteroid.

First off, in order to have placed the missile you would have needed to be in a position to do so. Which you somewhat acknowledged by this:

AlWayZFrE3 wrote:
Now with nothing left to lose or do, Roy let his Blackjack settle on the asteroid in a paculiar spot, as three missiles came from behind three seemingly random asteroids in a tri formation, quite close to the other ship. He couldn't help but growl, now infuriated, "Try this, Rookie."

Which worked just fine, up until my post where I hit you with the EMP Lance, directly stating in my post that the EMP burst would trigger right as Roy moved to command the three preplaced missiles (which you never mentioned preparing in any of your post) to attack Rose’s ship which had been embedded with Roy’s transmitter.

From my point of view, Roy did not land the ship on the asteroid till after the command had been given. Because of this, Roy’s ship would have not been able to place that last missile. Not only this, but if Roy had been settled on the asteroid, there would be no possible way that Rose’s ship could have been flown under Roy’s Blackjack as I described doing. Once again, because from what I read it appeared as if Roy gave the command first then moved to settled on the asteroid.

Now, with that part acknowledge, I’ll move onto the magnetic clamps.

For one, even at being as close as the Dagger was to the Blackjack, the time it would realistically take for the magnetic clamps to deploy far enough to catch Rose’s ship wouldn’t be nearly enough given the overall speed the ship was going, and the fact that the EMP burst would have brought the Blackjack to a drifting state.

Regardless of this, I stated that the Plasma Flares would weaken the hull, damaging it due to how close it was. This would count for the extending clamps as well, which would be caught by the Plasma Flares while trying to move.

Not only this, but given the size difference between the two ships, only perhaps one, possibly two, of Roy’s magnetic struts would actually have been able to connect. Once again, that would be if Rose wasn’t moving as fast as she was.

Of course, momentum and all that still play a part, even in space.

Anyways, all of this aside, I could openly grant you the chance of getting another ship. But nothing is stopping me from getting a new one either. Really, like I said before we began this match, this would likely turn into a pissing match between the two of us.

If you want a rematch, that’s fine, we can continue on with this thread and each have a new ship. However, I suggest defining things such as when you put missiles out and where, so that if a judge is called to actually decided a winner between the two of us you won’t get pegged for not ‘prepping’ or for just pulling things out of thin air.

Sound good?

Depending on where you want to go here we can just both grab a new ship. I just want you to know that I'm not upset or angery or anything. Really I'm just here to improve my figthing and writing skills and help improve other's while I do it. I really am enjoying myself. ^^))

Final question: how did you get so much equipment into a ship smaller than a Blackjack, who's maximum loadout is eight warheads and four cannons? Mines were a bit overkill, and the EMP lances were too much. MAYBE one, if that. Would, realistically, a fighter even in a war like this have that much capacity? If so, how would it still be maneuverable like yours is? Keep in mind I started with only seven weapons of two different types while you loaded up half a fleet.

Just wanted to throw that out there. Send me a challenge anytime, I already got the rematch of Roy and Rose all set up, though this time, you won't get an advantage.

Aside from that, two words: bring it Twisted Evil

^^ That is an interesting question. Isn't it?

Anyways. Set it up as you see fit, I'm ready whenever.

I'm assuming that we'll just call this one a no winner on either side? Or would you like to just continue the rematch on this thread?
